Ubisoft seems to be in a bit of a damage-control mode right now. Immediately after delaying Assassin's Creed Shadows from November until February 2025 and announcing it will be coming to Steam on day 1, they announced that Star Wars Outlaws will be coming to Steam on November 21st, less than 3 months after the game's launch. A change from Ubisoft's usual strategy of keeping games exclusive to their platform for several months.

We aren't complaining though, the more the merrier, and getting Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadows on the Steam platform can only be a good thing for Steam Deck users. While Star Wars Outlaws doesn't have the best performance and Deck, we could hope for some further patches and optimizations in the future to bring it up to scratch, and having the game on Steam just makes everything a little easier to manage.

There's no Steam page for Star Wars Outlaws yet, it seems likely that this was a sudden decision by Ubisoft so they're probably trying to get everything in order.

The Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card story pack DLC will also be launching on November 21st.
