Ever wanted to work in a factory that produces stars? Well, now you can! Developer Ánimo Games and publisher Astra Logical have announced that Star Stuff, a cute puzzle automation game where you are tasked with fixing a star factory, will be released on June 7th on Steam.

Star Stuff is also taking part in the Women Led Games Showcase that’s part of the 2024 Summer Game Fest on June 8th. In anticipation of all of this good news, a release date trailer has been released for your viewing:

In Star Stuff, you'll play as Mija, an apprentice star engineer! You'll have over 150 puzzles to confront as you work with a variety of bots, each with its own capabilities. Some bots can carry heavy objects, others can use their lasers to problem-solve, but every one of them is cute!

It's not just about programming your bots and leaving them to it though, in certain cases, Mija themself will have to get involved, there's no place in the Star Stuff factory for lazy workers! And remember, if it doesn't go right the first time, dust yourself off and try again! Reset, undo, and retry the puzzles as many times as you need.

The developers have tried to make the game as accessible as possible, offering simple but deep mechanics, they recommend that maybe you could even play with a friend nearby so you can figure out the puzzle solutions together.

So put your mind to work and create the best star factory the universe has ever seen!

Star Stuff is launching on Steam on June 7th, there is a demo available right now for you to try. The game has full controller support and the system requirements are easy to run, so it should run just fine on the Steam Deck.

Does Star Stuff sound like your kind of game? Let us know in the comments below!
