The Cult Classic FPS is Back! Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition is Available Now!

It's time to experience a genre-defining masterpiece! Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition is a releasing today on PC in its most definitive form and you won't want to miss it.

The re-release of this game has been built straight from the source code by Apogee Entertainment, New Blood Interactive, and Nightdive Studios. Together, and using Nightdive's KEX engine, the shooterhas been upgraded with new features like 4K visuals, 60+ FPS gameplay, ultrawide resolution support, cloud saves, and music options from every Rise of the Triad era.

In the Ludicrous Edition, you will have 5 full campaign modes and expansion packs, as well as new content that was previously lost in the beta builds of the games. You will also have 11-player online combat that will span across 10 varied maps. You can dive into normal and team game modes, as well as the innovative capture the flag mode that started it all!

Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition is available today (releasing at 10am PT) and can be purchased for $19.9 on Steam. While I haven't tried out the full game, I did get a hands-on with the demo and it played extremely well on the Steam Deck! If you are a fan of boomer shooters, this is one you will NOT want to miss.
