Farming Simulator Research Story Fixes Default Resolution on Steam Deck

I love checking out games that remind me of Stardew Valley, and Research Story definitely invokes some of the feelings I got from Stardew. You set out to discover and record plants and creatures for an archive and end up growing crops, taming animals, and building your farm. However, it's all encompassed in the fact that you are a researcher and have to contribute your findings. It also just got a new update that could get this game a verified badge.

The game got a solid number of changes with this new patch, and it made it easier for us to play on the Steam Deck. The resolution will now correctly be set to 1280x800 on the Steam Deck to make sure it fits the screen without us having to do it ourselves. The font sizes have also been increased to make it easier to read on smaller screens, which is really nice.

The team also added some nice new features and content, along with other quality-of-life changes. There are now powered chests that can be used to automate crafting stations, there are seven new hair colors to choose from when customizing your character, there's a small chance to find Earthworm when tilling soil, the main UI has been changed up and reworked, quest objectives are a bit more clear, and it is now easier to navigate the journal UI with a controller.

Research Story is on sale for $11.19 until March 8th and is rated Playable due to small in-game text and needing to set the resolution manually. Luckily, this update should fix both of these issues!
