Proton Experimental Update Fixes GTA 5 Enhanced, MySims Kingdom, And XCOM 2

A new Proton Experimental update was released earlier today that fixes up some issues with a couple of games. A multitude of problems with Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced have been patched up, including not being able to uninstall the game or the launcher hanging, XCOM 2 shouldn't pull up an error when trying to connect to my2K anymore, and MySims Kingdom should be playable along with Stardust Skate.

Proton Experimental 4/4/25 Update Changelog:

• Now playable: MySims Kingdom, STAR OCEAN THE DIVINE FORCE.
• Reinstated hack from Proton 7 that helped with SpellForce: Platinum Edition, NieR: Automata, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and DARK SOULS III crashing with monitors exposing too many possible resolutions.
• Fixed XCOM 2 erroring out when trying to connect to my2K.
• Fixed network issues in Hunt: Showdown 1896 after a recent game update.
• Fixed Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced launcher hang.
• Fixed Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced showing driver version warning with AMD GPUs.
• Fixed Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced not being able to be uninstalled via Steam.
• Fixed cursor not working in the menu of Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy (1999).
• Fixed The Last Of US 2 Remastered PC crashing with Nvidia GPUs.
• Fixed Proton 9.0 regression:
  • Stardust Skate is playable again.
