New Proton Experimental Fixes Killer Inn On Steam Deck And Atelier Yumia Crashes

There was a new Proton Experimental update today that fixes some issues across multiple games. Killer Inn got multiple new fixes, including making sure it can actually launch on the Steam Deck, not being able to connect to Square Enix accounts, and some random hangs. There were also fixes for Monster Hunter Stories 3, Final Fantasy 7, Atelier Yumia, and HELLDIVERS 2.

Proton Experimental 3/13/26 Update Changelog:

• Disabled Xalia for Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII Remastered as the launcher support controllers natively.
• Fixed graphical gliches in Duck Game that happen with newer Wine Mono versions.
• Fixed REDLauncher (e.g. as seen with Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3) taking a long time to exit.
• Fixed a crash in HELLDIVERS 2 happening in high enemy-count missions.
• Fixed Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land crashing when playing videos in the tutorials.
• Fixed random hangs in Killer Inn.
• Fixed Killer Inn not launching on Steam Decks and other machines with /tmp sizes lower than 10GB.
• Fixed Killer Inn not being able to connect to Square Enix account.

• Fixed experimental-10 Regressions:
  • Fixed DLSS support in Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
