Proton 9 Beta 15 Makes Alan Wake Playable Again and More

The next public beta version of the upcoming Proton 9 has been released on Steam Deck, and it will go ahead and fix some issues that were stopping some games from playing and video errors. Alan Wake, Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition, and Total War: Warhammer 3 are all now playable again, as are the placeholder videos for Resident Evil 0 and Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is working again. The update also fixes mouse click registering in Warframe and TrackMania and gets Epic Games Store launching again!

Fixed a few Proton 9.0 regressions:

• Alan Wake, Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition, Total War: WARHAMMER III (#23474) are playable again.
• Placeholder videos now play correctly in Ultimate Marvel VS. Capcom 3 and Resident Evil 0.
• Fixed mouse clicks registering twice in Warframe and TrackMania Nations Forever.
• Epic Game Store no longer fails to launch.
