Just announced is the upcoming release of The Plucky Squire by the creative minds at All Possible Futures and Devolver Digital. This widely anticipated action-adventure game is set to launch on September 17, 2024, for PC.

The Plucky Squire is set to take players on a whimsical journey that blurs the line between two-dimensional and three-dimensional worlds. Jot, a courageous storybook hero and his ragtag crew of eccentric friends set out on an epic adventure to explore the fantastical world beyond their book. The story takes an unexpected turn when the villainous wizard Humgrump, upon realizing his doomed fate as the eternal loser, expels Jot from the storybook and rewrites the narrative, setting the stage for a grand quest to save the realm.

The game premise is based on the unique ability to effortlessly transition between 2D and 3D environments, where players will take part in a lively, animated storybook. You'll be required to solve complex puzzles and take part in mini-challenges like boxing badgers and flying jetpacks, so it looks like the game will offer a wide variety of gameplay experiences. The Plucky Squire could well be a hit with gamers of all ages with its colorful art style and charm.

The Plucky Squire is due to release on Steam on September 17, 2024.
