Life Simulator New Day Gets Update Making Fishing Minigame Better on Steam Deck

New Day looks like an interesting life simulator game. You create your islanders, design their apartments, get involved with them, and interact to become friends, play mini-games, solve problems they may have, and more. It looks like an intriguing game to try out, and with it being free, it's more appealing to check it out. And one of the mini-games will be a lot easier to play on the Steam Deck after the latest update.

The update includes a lot of enhancements for the game, but when it comes to the Steam Deck, there's only one part that affects it. The Fishing minigame that you can play at The Docks has been updated to be more compatible with the Deck. This means it should be much easier to play this minigame on the Deck, even though there doesn't appear to be any controller support.

The rest of the update adds a ton of new content, too. There is now food you can give to your islanders to satisfy their bellies, bait can be used to lower the difficulty of the fishing minigame, islanders can now be given Quirks to define their personality more, and there have been a ton of smaller fixes and improvements like islanders not wanting to brush another friend's teeth and there is no longer any dancing that happens after the "leveling up" music ends.
