In less than 24 hours this its release, Monster Hunter Wilds has managed to hit 1,000,000 concurrent players on Steam. In fact, it's at over 1,200,000 players as of writing this review. The previous record for the Monster Hunter series was Monster Hunter: World, which drew in 335,000 concurrent players back in 2018.

The player count also puts it among one of the largest Steam releases ever, beating the likes of Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3.
