Revealed today at the Triple-i Initiative Showcase, Norland, the Medieval Story Generator inspired by Rimworld and Crusader Kings, will be launching into Steam Early Access on May 16th, 2024.

In Norland, you are tasked with managing an up-and-coming noble family, but beware, there are plenty of hazards out there, and not just from opposing kingdoms.

Since being revealed back in 2022, Norland has received over 350,000 wishlists. According to SteamDB, that makes it the 67th most wish-listed game on Steam, so there's plenty of excitement around the release of this game.

It'll be up to you to keep your family together, put down any threats to your reign, build armies and defenses to protect against rival kingdoms, and maybe even assassinate some rivals along the way. Don't forget that you'll also need to build a thriving economy and workforce to support all of this.

Every play session will be unique in this Medieval Story Generator, who knows what will happen next?

Norland will be available on Steam Early Access from May 16th. It's available to wishlist now. We don't have a price for it yet, and it doesn't have controller support, so it's hard to tell right now how well the game might run on the Steam Deck, this is one where we'll have to wait and see. Community reports from the demo suggest that the demo did run well on the Deck, however.
