Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Will Be Getting FSR Upscaling

MachineGames has shown us again why they are not to be messed with when creating captivating and enjoyable first-person shooters. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle have been getting rave reviews across the board, and from what I have played so far, it's just a joy. However, playing on the Steam Deck is nearly impossible due to the forced Ray Tracing, and while I don't see anything improving on that front, I see some potential for better experiences on AMD devices.

Currently, the game only supports DLSS upscaling, exclusive to Nvidia GPUs. This means all handhelds, including the Steam Deck, can't benefit from this technology. I initially found this a bit weird, but in the latest patch notes, Bethesda/MachineGames notes that AMD FSR will be coming in a future game update. So, instead of just scaling the resolution down, we can use FSR upscaling to hopefully make the game look a little better.

Unfortunately, this won't make it run better on the Steam Deck. There are still big issues, like forced ray tracing, that will make it nearly impossible to play this way. Having FSR may make it look a bit better on the more powerful Windows handhelds, like the ROG Ally X, Legion Go, and AYANEO devices, but it won't affect the Deck. Still, I am excited to see FSR coming so others can hopefully reap the benefits! There are some neat other fixes as well, including path tracing, so if you have a super beast of a computer, the game will look incredible.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle can be purchased on Steam for $69.99, but you can get it on Fanatical for $58.79 before it releases on December 8th. You can also get the Premium version for $83.99 and play the game right now.
