Narrative Driving Adventure 'Heading Out' Receives a Gameplay Overview Trailer

If you've been keeping an eye on the upcoming Narrative Driving game Heading Out, then you'll be pleased to hear that Saber Interactive has just dropped a new gameplay overview trailer for the game. Inspired by cult-classic road flicks like Thelma & Louise and Vanishing Point, Heading Out puts players on an exhilarating trip of discovery down America’s winding highways.

So without further ado, here's the gameplay trailer:

As a fugitive on the run from the law, you'll need to keep on the move, racing other drivers, helping, or indeed hurting, strangers, and building your reputation as a legend. You'll need to keep your vehicle in tip-top shape and keep some money set aside in your wallet, you do still have expenses after all.

Each trip you take offers the chance of high-adrenaline races, chases, and challenges. You'll meet colorful characters that are brought to life with graphic novel visuals. Plan out your route and resources before you begin your journey, or just hit the road and see what happens, each decision you make will have consequences and ultimately decide your fate.

Listen to radio hosts who spread your legend as you head down the road listening to the classic Americana soundtrack.

Heading Out launches onto Steam on May 7th, 2024. It is available to wishlist now. The game has full controller support, and Noah Kupetsky was able to try the game out at PAX East, while there were a couple of performance issues on Steam Deck, we hope they can be sorted for the game's launch next month!
