One of the games I have been playing almost nonstop since I got it is dotAGE. The gameplay loop is addicting, and I find myself losing hours upon hours playing it. While it was playable on the Steam Deck, it didn't use the gamepad, and I needed to use the touchpad and KB+M controls to play it. This could get annoying occasionally, but today, it got a lot easier to play.

In today's update, version 1.1.005, there was a lot of rebalancing and features, but the highlight for me is the addition of controller support. This was implemented via Steam Input so that it would work natively with the Steam Deck, and two official layouts were added: one for the Xbox Controller and another for the Steam Deck. There were also some UI changes to streamline the controller experience, and new custom pixel art glyphs were added. This will easily make dotAGE an essential game on the Deck, especially since the developer is going for the Verified badge.

Along with the update, we have two new features, the Doomsday Mechanic and Mini-Apocalypses. The former adds a new tower to trigger the Apocalypse immediately, while the mini-apocalypse events will happen 3 days before their corresponding apocalypse and have effects similar to Omens. There are also two other new buildings, a Large Buoy and Stone Toolmaker, both upgrades to the Buoy and Stone Workbench.

There's a new score formula, glyphs added to the tutorial, controller settings, hotkeys, and a minimum font size setting. There were also many new balance changes, but with so many there, it will be too long to list them all. You can check out the full changelog on their Steam Community Post.

dotAGE is currently $17.59 on Steam and has a native Linux build. It already was running quite well on the Steam Deck, too, so including controller support is going to be massive to play this on Deck.
