Dead Cells Concludes Epic Journey with Final Update, "The End is Near," Now Available on PC

Dead Cells, Motion Twin's highly praised rogue-lite, has received its last update. The 35th update, aptly named "The End is Near," brings an end to a journey that started in 2017. This most recent update is now available for free on PC and adds a ton of new content to the game.

In celebration of this landmark, Dead Cells is on sale for 50% off on Steam until August 26th. This is a great chance for new players to give the game a try and for longtime fans to stock up on the game.

The Sore Loser, the Curser, and the Doom Bringer are three new, terrifying foes that "The End is Near" introduces. These foes will provide a new challenge to players with experience. These enemies can show up in any biome as long as your Boss Cells level is high enough. Misericorde and Anathema, two new powerful weapons that deal enormous damage but also have the potential to curse the player, have been added to the arsenal to bolster the fight.

The game has also added three mutations—Cursed Flask, Damned Vigor, and Demonic Strength—to help you improve your runs with builds that are high-risk but potentially rewarding.

With the addition of forty new heads in the update, players can give their cursed warrior a unique look.

With this last update, Motion Twin feels as though Dead Cells is finally complete.
