Of all of the indie studios that exist, there are a few that take creativity and intrigue to a whole new level. We know some of the usual studios, like Supergiant, but one you may not know of yet (but really should) is Strange Scaffold. Helmed by Xalavier Nelson Jr., the studio has been releasing some incredibly unique games at a very high rate. While they have released awesome titles like Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, they came into my view predominantly with El Paso, Elsewhere, and most recently, Life Eater (a game about figuring out people's schedules to abduct and murder them). And their next release has officially been unveiled, called Clickolding, and it looks incredible.
Clickolding is a first-person narrative about clicking a tally counter in your hand directed by a masked man in the corner of the room. It's definitely a horror game and one that looks extremely creepy, and if there's anything I have learned from following the development studio, there will be something extremely deep, dark, and mysterious behind the narrative. It's also made in partnership with the newly-formed indie fund Outersloth, which was created by Innersloth (developers behind Among Us).
The game looks ominous and extremely cool, but to make things better, we can confirm the game is going to be playable on the Steam Deck! When it was announced, we asked Xalavier Nelson Jr. on X/Twitter if there would be support for the Deck, and he confirmed it in a quote repost:
Just knowing Strange Scaffold is behind this, it will be a day 1 purchase for me, and we won't have to wait much longer to try it for ourselves!

Clickolding will be released on July 16th and can now be wishlisted on Steam.
