Two weeks ago, developer World 2 Studio announced that Chef RPG is going to be getting Controllers and Steam Deck support. Now, after a slight delay, the game now officially has the controller and Deck support that should make this culinary slice-of-life game much more enjoyable to play on the go.

There are a couple of big parts to this update, which was released a couple of days ago, but the one that affects the Deck the most is the controller support. It uses Steam's default gamepad controls, and should work perfectly. There's also key rebinding that was added for both Keyboard and Mouse and Gamepad controls. Some keys can't be rebound since it could lock you out of the UI, but the majority of them can be easily changed up.
The other biggest aspect of the update is the UI overhaul. The new UI is much cleaner and more consistent than how it looked before, with some nice color and texture changes, leading to a more streamlined look. There may be more UI changes in the future to give them a more realistic bulletin board-like style to them as well, but it looks significantly better than before.

Chef RPG can be purchased on Steam for $19.99. It is rated Steam Deck Playable still, but some of the reasons it is Playable may not be relevant anymore.
