In case you missed it, Cassette Beasts had an online multiplayer mode promised for it back in June 2023, not long after the game was released. Well now we've finally received a release date for this update, it will be released on May 20th, 2024!

Here's an updated multiplayer trailer for the game for you to check out:

This multiplayer update will allow up to 8 friends to party up and explore the world of Cassette Beasts together! You'll be able to invite friends across Xbox, Switch, and PC platforms via an invite code. You'll also be able to fight against each other in PvP battles with custom rules.

You can even team up in 2 player co-op for raids against Rogue Fusions, as well as trade tapes with each other.

If you already own the game, you can opt-in to the multiplayer beta on Steam right now and test the multiplayer out before its official launch on May 20th.

Also from May 20th, Cassette Beasts will be doing a collaboration with Moonstone Island, where Moonstone Island-themed costumes will be available in the game!

Cassette Beasts is available now on Steam for $19.99. It is Steam Deck Verified so should run well on the Steam Deck.
