Today, Baldur's Gate 3 got its 4th huge patch, bringing in over 1,000 tweaks and fixes to make the game even more playable for everyone. While there is a full changelog, there is one thing missing from it that Steam Deck will largely benefit from, yet it was added anyway. Yes, that's right, FSR 2.2 support is finally here.

Verified by @Cromwelp on Twitter (X), who is the director of publishing at Larian Studios, the new patch that was released earlier today does contain support for the newest version of AMD's upscaling technique. This means that we will see some pretty good visual increases without sacrificing any more performance, which is fantastic!

I went ahead and tested out FSR 2.2 to see if there was a difference, and I can easily say it is pretty night and day. Without any performance loss, FSR 2.2 looks monumentally better, getting rid of blurry pixelation and making the visuals as crisp as they can get. It is a no-brainer to use, considering all of the improvements it brings without any sacrifices:

On top of this awesome change, there are some new accessibility features added, including some new color blindness options, which apply to the games, as well as UI elements, and you can customize hirelings' appearance when you are recruiting them. There are tons of new options, fixes, improvements, and tweaks to make the overall game significantly easier and more accessible to play!

Baldur's Gate 3 is available on Steam for $59.99 and rated Verified for the Steam Deck.
