Last week Ubisoft dropped the news that the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, entitled Assassin’s Creed Shadows, will be released worldwide on November 15th. The game is sadly skipping out on the Steam store for now, as we've come to expect of the franchise, with the only places it will be available on PC being the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store. Those who are subscribed to Ubisoft+ or purchase a special edition copy of the game get early access to the game three days early on November 12th.
You can check out the game's reveal trailer below:
Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place in 16th-century Japan. Unrest is growing as new coalitions appear and corruptive foreign influences have begun infiltrating the land.
Players will get to experience 2 different playstyles, depending on if they're playing as Naoe, an adept shinobi Assassin from the Iga Province, or Yasuke, the powerful samurai of historical legend. You'll learn about their personal stories, meet pivotal historical figures, and shape the duo’s common destiny as they usher in a new era for Japan.
Each character has their own progression paths, skills, weapon options, and stats. With Naoe's skillset focused on stealth, and Yasuke’s focused on combat prowess, giving players plenty of ways to approach objectives.
Assassin's Creed Shadows tasks players with building their own spy network to reveal new areas and hunt down their targets, you can also recruit new allies as you explore a vast open world with a variety of landscapes evolving through weather and seasons. From spectacular castle towns and bustling ports to peaceful shrines and pastoral landscapes. You can also do a bit of base-building, allowing you to choose your own layout and decorations to create your own unique place.
The first gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Shadows has been confirmed to be revealed in June. Likely this will be during the Ubisoft Forward on June 10th.

Assassin's Creed Shadows will launch on November 15th for $69.99. However, it's only launching on the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store. The game will also be launching in Gold Edition, Ultimate Edition, and Collector's Edition versions. Offering in-game cosmetics and items, access to upcoming expansions, and early access to the game.
In somewhat better news, however, it seems like Assassin's Creed Shadows won't be online-only requiring an internet connection to play.

Honestly why do you think it's skipping Steam? Because it will without a doubt get review bombed into oblivion.
Why is it on the ubislop store and epic lames store? Because they have no form of review platform, another form of silencing your actual costumers, but they would rather have "video game" (lol) journalists say that everything is great after playing 10 minutes of whatever garbage copy and paste they shovel just so they don't get blacklisted.
The gaming industry has turned into a joke where the actual paying customer gets told what to like and whats good without the ability to say otherwise.
It's probably also because Ubisoft get to keep 100% of the profits from their own store. And Epic only takes 12% of profit, or Epic paid them.
Steam takes the industry standard 30% cut off of profits, which is probably what prompted so many companies to open alternative stores, to try and either cash-in on that money-making machine, or to avoid paying Steam the fees.
