Viking Tribe Builder ASKA Receives Update #2, Focused on Farming and Fighting

While ASKA might be a bit of a struggle to run on the Steam Deck, it's steadily receiving updates during its early access period to bring in additional features, and Update #2 is entitled "Farmers & Fighters". As you might have guessed, the focus of this update is on improving the farming and combat aspects of the game.

Here's a list of the key features introduced in this update for ASKA:

• Town Militias – Upgrade the Eye of Odin, form a town guard, and rally them with a mighty horn to defeat enemies.
• Wall-Mounted Cave Torches – Caves have become even better with wall-mounted cave torches and new small iron clusters. Additionally, the Crawler boss has been reworked so players should take another “stab” at this evil foe. 
• Seasonal Crop Schedules – Create automated crop rotation tasks that will add variety to fields during specific seasons. 
• New Customization Options –  Survive in style with new hairstyles, tattoos, and facial features, which are unlockable through the deeds system. 
• Additional Features – Expand your settlement with the Horn Tower Addon, as well as enjoy Steam Cloud Saves, now available. 

These sound like pretty useful features, especially the Steam Cloud saves, which is a huge boost for anyone who does switch devices like most Steam Deck users.

ASKA is available now on Steam in Early Access for $24.99, although it's currently 20% off. The game struggles to run on the Steam Deck, as per our review, but hopefully, that might change with future updates optimizing the game further.
