We Now Have Over 17,000 Steam Deck Verified/Playable Games on Steam

This has been a very eventful year for the Steam Deck, and Valve has been busy testing out whatever games they can to make sure they are good to play on the go. Today, they have hit a new landmark, with going a little bit over 17,000 games that have been either Verified or Playable for the Deck.

Checking on SteamDB, I see that there are officially 17,001 games at the time of writing this article. We use SteamDB as it also takes into account any games that have also been delisted, so checking through the Steam store itself isn't completely accurate (it shows around 16,500 games right now). But with recent Verified/Playable titles like Luma Island, Void Sols, and Knights in Tight Spaces, we have hit the new milestone:

While I do have my personal disagreements with the Verified/Playable system, as I do find more and more ratings that aren't accurate, I love the idea behind the system Valve has implemented. My biggest concern is saying that a "Verified" game is a great experience when that is not only subjective, but some Verified games have performance issues.

Either way, this is still an awesome achievement, and I am overjoyed to see it. I am looking forward to 18,000, and one day, getting to that 20,000 mark.
