The Spell Brigade is a game that continues to intrigue me. The co-op take on survivors-like games is awesome, and I really like the spell synergies system that can really make you overpowered. It’s playable on the Steam Deck as well, and in the newest update, we have a nice small fix along with some glorious new content that I am super excited about.
On the Steam Deck side, there’s only one specific change here. For whatever reason, button prompts weren’t accurately shown, making it hard to rely on them. But with this update, it should no longer be a problem!
Now, on to the real meat of the update! The part that excites me most is Endless Mode, which was added to the game in the form of modifiers that the developers are calling Covenants. They also added in a friendly fire toggle, which is another Covenant, and they have plans to add more down the line. We also have two new enemies, matchmaking improvements to narrow down exactly what you are looking for, and some nice stability and balancing improvements.
You can check out the full changelog for the update on their Steam Community Post.
The Spell Brigade is on sale at 20% off for $7.99 until December 4th. It is rated Steam Deck Verified.
