Following hot on the heels of the original Tails of Iron released back in 2021, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter has just been announced and is due to be released later in 2024!

A new protagonist takes the helm of Tails of Iron 2, Arlo, son of the Warden of the North.

In Tails of Iron 2, Arlo will face off against the Dark Wings, a fierce winged and fanged threat from the frozen wastelands. Gather your forces, build up your settlement, find new friends and foes, and fight back against the onslaught of the Dark Wings!

You'll explore 6 varied biomes alongside a new day-night system, that allows you to find new animal factions depending on the time of day as you fight against the Dark Wing menace using new elemental effects that Arlo can imbue his weapons with. Need an upgrade? Go on a quest to slay gigantic beasts to obtain rare upgrade materials to make sure your equipment is the best of the best.

Restore the settlement at Winter's Edge to its former glory, and take advantage of the skills of its residents to gain access to more powerful items, powerful traps at the shoppe, and a nice meal at the kitchen.

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter will be available on Steam later in 2024, it is available to wishlist now! The game will have full controller support, and the system requirements are already available on the Steam page. At first glance, it looks like the Steam Deck should be able to run the game just fine.
