Have you ever fantasized about being a Japanese stock broker in the 1980s? Well, now you can live out your fantasy with STONKS-9800. This is an interesting-looking text game that revolves around buying stocks and making money, but it looks like there's more you can do, like investing in real estate and cars, managing your own company, playing mini-games like pachinko and golf, and even getting rich quick with some shady actions. And it just got a little bit better on the Steam Deck.
The newest update for the game is a small one, but it has a couple of changes that can make it better for playing on the Deck. The specific Steam Deck fix is for the intro cutscene that couldn't be skipped with a gamepad, which could be annoying having to watch it constantly. Now, you can skip it accordingly, which is nice. However, the other part of the update I like is the better optimization for different aspect ratios. The patch notes mention 4:3 ratios, but this should carry over to 16:10 ratios since the window can be resized however you like, and it will readjust.
Outside of those fixes, there were a bunch of minor bugs that were busted, and a bug that caused tooltips to display incorrectly has been fixed. That's basically the entire update, there really isn't much more with it, but it's still appreciated getting the fixes that it is!
You can check out the changelog for the update yourself via their Steam Community Post.
STONKS-9800 is available for $9.99 and is rated Steam Deck Verified.
