We're kicking Gamescom 2024 off with some early news from the Sonic Team, who have just released a new SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS trailer, which is all about Shadow’s new 'Doom Powers'. This allows our new protagonist/anti-hero, whatever you want to call him, to surf on water and fly over obstacles, to name a couple of things.

Check out the trailer to see what awaits you when SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS launches this Fall:

If you happen to be at Gamescom in person, then be sure to check out the Sonic Team booth on the show floor from August 21 until August 25, where you'll be able to get hands-on with SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS and photo opportunities with the Sonic mascot, if that's your thing!

If you pre-order SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS on Steam, you'll get access to an exclusive legacy skin, that gives our hedgehog protagonist a look inspired by Sonic Adventure. The Digital Deluxe edition of the game gives players 3 days early access to the game, as well as an additional level and skin for Shadow, a digital artbook, and additional BGM.

And if you subscribe to the Sonic newsletter before November 1, 2024, you can receive the Sonic Jam™ Legacy Skin for Classic Sonic, inspired by Sonic’s first 3D appearance. You can sign-up to the newsletter here.

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS will be released on Steam on October 25, 2024, for $49.99. The game will have full controller support and the system requirements shouldn't trouble the Steam Deck on the low end at least.
