The long-running offroad simulator SnowRunner is entering its 12th season of content. This time the focus is on North Carolina, where players can explore 4 new maps and visit power plants, crop fields, water dams and more using 2 brand-new vehicles!
Owners of the Year 3 Pass or 3-Year Anniversary Edition Bundle receive this expansion for free, otherwise, you can purchase Season 12 separately for $11.99 on Steam.
Check out this 4-minute trailer which goes over the highlights of this latest expansion to SnowRunner:
The state government has plans to build a new nuclear power station, and they need your help! Use your trucking skills to deliver valuable construction materials to the site. When you're not helping build the state's power infrastructure, you'll be assisting local farmers with cultivating their crops or even aiding institutions that are monitoring environmental pollution in the area.
As mentioned above, this expansion adds 2 new vehicles to the mix. Give a big welcome to the MTB 8106, a scout vehicle ideal for traversing terrain with its high ground clearance and fuel-efficient upgradable engine. If you need a little more grunt though, the FEMM 37-AT is the one for you. This heavy-duty truck can handle any terrain or cargo that you throw at it!
That's not all, because SnowRunner has a 4th year of content planned for it! The Year 4 Pass is now available to purchase for $24.99 and will give you access to Season 13-16 of SnowRunner as they launch over the next year. Purchasing the Year 4 Pass will also give you four exclusive vehicle skins for the ANK MK28, the International PayStar 5070, the Caterpillar CT681, and the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer base game vehicles.
SnowRunner is available now on Steam for $14.99, a 50% discount from the usual price of $29.99. It holds "Very Positive" user reviews and is graded as "Playable" on the Steam Deck due to certain text being hard to read and sometimes requiring an on-screen keyboard.
The Year 3 Pass which gives you access to Seasons 9-12 of SnowRunner is currently available for $19.99, down from its usual price of $24.99.

Now on xbox series x, if only they would fix the constant single player and coop crashes. It is ridiculous how much the game crashes.
That's a shame, I know I had a few crashes on my Xbox Series S, but I just assumed it was due to running low on RAM or something. Unfortunate to know the X still has problems too.
I have to say, that this game runs like a charm on Steam Deck and it is an incredibly relaxing experience that requires more brain than skill (you could consider it a puzzle game). It's like a walking simulator on wheels. Most of the time the top speed is "snail" This means that there is no real need for 60 frames. I think, I have this one running on 30fps (rock steady) and in exchange I bumped the settings up. Looks and plays phenomenal on the Deck
I haven't played it natively on the Deck myself, as I always owned SnowRunner via Game Pass. So I tended to cloud stream the game to my Deck.
Again due to the slow nature of the game, cloud streaming works really well for it, as long as you disable the Film Grain effect, as that can tank the visual quality of the stream.
