I have been invested in the Steam Deck scene ever since the device was announced, and since starting SteamDeckHQ, I always kept up to date on everything I could, or so I thought. When it comes to Steam Deck skins, I always went to the usual suspects like JSAUX, dBrand, and even Etsy. But never once did I expect Razer to come up as another Steam Deck skin seller, but they sell skins, and some of them look awesome.

Looking at the selection after seeing this post on Reddit, I am genuinely shocked that I missed this. Razer has 9 different Steam Deck skins that are available to purchase, ranging from $34.99 to $39.99, which is generally around the middle of the price points I have seen for other skins. According to the page, each skin is made with 3M Cast Vinyl and has a smooth, durable finish. However, unlike other skins, these designs are some of my new favorites.

Of the 9 designs, the two that stand out most to me are Sludge and Acid Sludge, both of which opt for a gooey look that pleases the eye. I like Sludge a bit more due to the contrasting orange and blue colors, but I am digging the green and blue as well. Both of these skins are $34.99, and boy, do they look great. I do also dig the Geometric Mercury and Pearlescent Steel skins, but the Sludge duo is more appealing overall.

As far as using skins in general goes, if you aren't planning to change out your shell, it's a great way to customize your Steam Deck. I am more just shocked that I had no idea Razer sells skins, especially since I do enjoy some of Razer's other products (I like the Viper V3 Pro mouse). They also only mention it being for the Steam Deck, but I assume this could mean they work with both the LCD and OLED models.

You can find these skins to check out for yourself and purchase over on Razer's website.
