Frontier Developments has just announced that a Eurasia Pack DLC will be released for Planet Zoo on December 13th. This pack will include a variety of new animals, as well as a Campaign Mode scenario. On top of that, players without the DLC are getting some Quality-of-Life improvements too!

The pack will add 8 brand new animals to Planet Zoo, as well as the above-mentioned new Campaign Mode scenario. Here's a list of the new animals coming in the Eurasia Animal Pack:

  • Wolverine
  • Wisent
  • Mute Swan
  • Wild Boar
  • Saiga
  • Takin
  • Sloth Bear
  • Hermann's Tortoise

I'm not a wildlife expert myself, so there are a couple of species that I'm not familiar with in that list (today I found out a Wisent is a form of Bison!), but it's great to see a fairly diverse group of creatures being added to the game.

Check out these screenshots to see some of these new animals:

Some of the free updates that are coming to Planet Zoo alongside this DLC pack are the ability to place souvenir shops in your zoo, you'll also have the ability to recolor multiple objects at once, and there are new color morphs available for the Bengal and Siberian Tigers.

The Eurasia Animal Pack will be available on Steam starting December 13th. It will be available for $11.99, in line with all previous DLC Packs for Planet Zoo, which is currently $44.99. Planet Zoo is rated Playable for the Steam Deck, and as long as you are okay using the trackpad to move around, it runs quite well!
