A new gameplay trailer for the next Mortal Kombat 1 DLC has just been released, spotlighting new fighter Quan Chi. He will be joining the fight on December 14th for Premium Edition and Kombat Pack owners, with a wider release available on December 21st. Check out the trailer below:

Quan Chi commands powerful necromancing abilities, including being able to summon skulls, skeletons, and Netherrealm Demons to use against his enemies.

The trailer also teases Khameleon, a new DLC Kameo fighter joining in January 2024. They will be able to assist fighters with a variety of supporting moves. They are available as part of the Kombat Pack or as standalone purchases.

Peacemaker, a guest character from DC's The Suicide Squad film, is also making an appearance in Mortal Kombat 1, with the voice and likeness of John Cena. He will be joining the roster in February 2024.

Additionally, more future plans have been revealed, such as a new season of content starting on December 14th, revolving around Sub-Zero as the main boss in Invasions mode. This brings new challenges, story elements, and boss battles to complete. There's more content due from the Kombat Pack in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for those!

Mortal Kombat 1 is available to purchase on Steam. It is Steam Deck Verified but requires a lot of compromises to get it running decently on the Deck, including a 30 FPS limit for fights. This does make it a worse online experience and could put you at a disadvantage competitively. If you have other handhelds, like the ROG Ally, Legion Go, or other 7840U APU devices, this will be a much better experience!
