Lost In Cult, known for publishing books such as A Handheld History, is back with a 272-page book written by Elijah Beahm! Make Us Whole: The History of Dead Space takes a look at the franchise, with the book examining the games, movies, books, and comics of the franchise. You'll get an insight into development from interviews with the franchise creators, as well as information about pre-release prototypes. All of this is paired with illustrations by Jonathan La Mantia.
You can order the book HERE, and it is available as a Standard Edition, as well as a limited Signed Edition, which is only available if you pre-order before December 10th, 2024, and features a signed bookplate by Elijah Beahm and Chuck Beaver, who wrote and produced the Dead Space franchise, as well as an exclusive A5 art card. Pre-orders for the Standard Edition will end on December 31st, 2024. The book is expected to launch in Q2 2025.
The book promises to take us through both the highs and lows of the franchise, from the very first game back in 2008, all the way to its modern remake. The interviews cover 7 creators who have worked with the Dead Space franchise, including writers, producers, and directors.
This book marks the first in Lost In Cult's new initiative, Cult Classics.
Cult Classics is a text-focused book series, where each book has its own author and will offer an in-depth look at a subject close to the heart of that author. Although they are stand-alone books, they will all follow similar guidelines, with the aim of looking the part when being together on your bookshelf.
