This is an update I have been waiting for, and I am glad it's finally here. When I look up games with Steam Deck updates, HumanitZ consistently came up because they would continuously mention the Steam Deck in their other updates, though it was just text under the "Coming Soon/WIP" section. Well, it is no longer a work in progress because this new update for the co-op open-world survival game includes Steam Deck improvements.

With this new update, we have significant improvements to Steam Deck performance and playability, as well as some improvements for controller support. The developers note that there still needs to be some changes for UI sizing, but it is playable. They do mention that you should set the graphics to low or medium to really enjoy the experience.

This update adds some great new additions too. We have a new camera and player movement option, a brand new quest system, a bunch of new weapons, new clothing and buildables, new foliage, and a load of changes to the game. This includes changes to reload speed, nail bombs, and how zombie spawns inside buildings.

You can check out the full changelog over on their Steam Community Post.

HumanitZ is on sale for the Steam Summer Sale at $13.99. It is rated Unsupported, but with this new update, it should be a bit more playable.
