It's almost the end of 2024, and the Steam Awards for this year have announced their winners. Over the course of the Steam Winter Sale, users have been casting their votes as to which game could win for each of the categories, and before this, any game could have been nominated by the community, and to my surprise, God of War Ragnarok won the Best Game on Steam Deck award.

So, the winners for each category of the 2024 Steam Awards are:

Game of the Year:

Best Game on Steam Deck:

VR Game of the Year:

Labor of Love:

Better With Friends:

Outstanding Visual Style:

Most Innovative Gameplay:

Best Game You Suck At:

Best Soundtrack:

Outstanding Story-Rich Game:

Sit Back and Relax:

A huge congratulations to all of the games that won, and they all deserve spots here. These games are all amazing in their own rights and should be in your libraries if they aren't already. However, there are some weird winners here that I don't completely agree with.

It's good to keep in mind that this was completely community-voted, so while I don't necessarily agree with most of the winners here, especially for Steam Deck and Labor of Love awards, I do understand how they got up there. Farming Simulator 25, Red Dead Redemption, Liar's Bar, and Elden Ring are all wonderfully playable on the Steam Deck, though, and with the sale going on for 1 more day, there are still some great titles to expand your portable library with.
