There is nothing like a high-speed platformer that takes up way more time than you expect because of its addicting gameplay loop, and it seems I may have a new one to occupy my free time soon! Berserk Boy is a Mega Man-inspired platformer that prioritizes fast speeds and an incredible soundtrack from the Sonic Mania composer, and it has just been confirmed to release on March 6th this year!

On top of the release date announcement, I did get confirmation that Berserk Boy has been tested on the Steam Deck and is 100% working! I wasn't worried too much since this is made in GameMaker, but a confirmation is always nice! And after playing the demo that is available on Steam, I can confirm how great it feels on the portable device.

After playing, I am very confident this will be a game I enjoy. The dashing to attack and gorgeous pixel art work together with the rest of the gameplay elements to create an engaging experience that made me sad when the demo ended, as I just wanted more!
