Atomfall, the new First-Person Shooter from the team at Rebellion (Sniper Elite, Zombie Army) is just over a month away from release, with it planned to launch on March 27th, 2025. To get you excited for the upcoming release, the team has released a new trailer that showcases the world, a bit of the story, and some gameplay.

Check it out below:

The story of Atomfall takes place 5 years after a nuclear disaster at the Windscale Power Plant, as it takes place in 1962, we could infer that it might be a retelling of the 1957 Windscale fire (Wikipedia) at the nuclear power plant that escalated further than in reality.

Atomfall is situated in the quarantine zone around the Windscale Power Plant, where you'll be enjoying the picturesque views of Northern England, whilst dealing with the not-so-nice gangs, cultists, and biological horrors that await you in this irradiated land.

You'll have to scavenge for resources, decide who you can trust among the residents of the zone, and find out just what happened at Windscale to cause this disaster to happen in the first place. And, perhaps just as importantly, who you are too.

Atomfall is launching on March 27th, 2025 on Steam and is available for pre-order now. Pre-ordering will get you the Basic Supply Bundle DLC which adds additional items and supplies to find in the game. The Deluxe Edition will give you an Enhanced Supply Bundle, which adds an exclusive pistol variant, a metal detector skin, and a skill manual that grants character upgrades. You'll also be able to play the game 3 days earlier and receive the Story Expansion DLC when it releases in the future.
