The developers over at Asobo Studio pushed out a new update for A Plague Tale: Requiem this morning that doesn't seem to change a lot, but it absolutely does. On top of adding new graphics options to improve and customize performance, the game is now officially compatible with the Steam Deck! Now I don't know the extent of what this means, maybe some specific optimizations were added, but that is in the patch notes!

Changes & Updates

  • The game is now compatible with Steam Deck

Optimization

  • Added new graphics options to improve visual and performance customizations (Frame limiter, Resolution optimizer, SSAO, DOF, Screen Space Shadows, Motion Blur)
  • Improved auto setting graphic profiles to better match PC configurations

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed specular flickering issues with DLSS

You can view these patch notes over on Steam.

I, for one, am super excited to see this since the game was NOT Steam Deck ready before. We will be going back and seeing how much of an improvement there has been! Regardless, I am happy to see Asobo taking the time to add in support.
