Baldur's Gate 3, the critically acclaimed RPG, has consistently been at the top of the Steam Deck's most-played games ever since its release. On the charts, it is set in the number two spot when looking at the past year, which is just fantastic. The game is a bit hard to play on the Deck, especially in Act 3, but overall, it is the perfect fit for a portable device. While it's obvious that the playtime will be high, it's still a bit shocking to actually hear the numbers, and they are high.
According to a post made by Very AFK on Twitter/X, who works for the developer of Baldur's Gate 3 (Larian Studios), there have been over 17,223,529 hours of the game collectively played on the Steam Deck. To put it in some perspective, these numbers would be reached if over 172,235 people played the game for 100 hours, which may not seem like a lot considering over 65,000 people are playing the game right at this moment, but this is only hours played on the Deck.
In general, many people have also played more than 100 hours of the game. One user posted their playtime from playing exclusively on the Steam Deck, clocking in at 689.5 hours. This is not uncommon with Baldur's Gate 3, with many users reporting hundreds of hours played, but it's still pretty insane to see how high the numbers are when only looking at the Deck.
Baldur's Gate 3 can be purchased on Steam for $59.99 and is rated Steam Deck Verified. With how great of a game it is, I would consider it essential to your Steam library in general, but if you are okay with some sacrifices to visuals and some drops during the last act of the game, it will be a perfect one to play on the Deck.

For some reason I stopped playing last year, just at the start of act 3. I played 130 hours on the deck, and some more on the PS5 with the cross save function. I tried to pick it up recently, but I dont know anything about my story anymore. I recently started playing wasteland 3 on the deck, after that i will try BDG3 again 🙂
Finished the game 3x on the deck. Played exclusively in it too. Act 3 performance is a bit choppy when navigating but honestly, doesn't bother me that much. What a phenomenal game.
How many hours do you have in it total?
