Wartorn is a Narrative-Driven Fantasy Tactics Game Coming this Spring

Stray Kite Studios, a new indie team with experience from working on Age of Empires, Borderlands, and BioShock has just announced their first game, the tactical roguelite Wartorn. And it's coming sooner than you might think, with an Early Access release planned for Spring 2025.

In Wartorn, you'll follow the story of 2 elven sisters as they journey to reunite with their family. You'll be faced with crucial decisions as you progress, as well as matching up against threats within and from outside.

Wartorn will feature a dynamic combat system that takes advantage of the elements to allow you to use fire, water, and lightning in your battles to work for your benefit. The physics-driven destruction engine also adds a layer of depth and strategy to the mix.

This is a roguelite, so with each run you'll gain some progress, allowing you to upgrade your heroes and gather heirlooms in order to give you a better chance on the next attempt as you fight off the mobs in this magical land that has been torn apart by extremism.

Wartorn will be available on Steam Early Access this Spring, and you can wishlist it on Steam here. There are no system requirements yet, but hopefully, this one will run on the Steam Deck.
