Were you hoping to play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 online on the Steam Deck but have recently been brought down by errors not allowing the game to connect? Well, worry no longer! A hotfix has been deployed through Proton to fix this, allowing players to connect and utilize online functionality in the game, and was announced by Pierre-Loup Griffais on Twitter (X):

The fix should automatically be downloaded as you are on your Steam Deck (not in-game) and will allow you to access online multiplayer and Create-a-Park to download other parks that people build.

While we haven't reviewed the game just yet, I have written up an impressions article regarding my experience with the game. In short, it plays extremely well, even with some minor slowdowns in the more open maps. There is an always-online requirement, which can't be bypassed just yet, but it is very awesome to see.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is currently on sale for its Steam release at 50% off. The base game is $19.99, while the Deluxe Edition is $24.99. The game is rated Playable due to needing to use the on-screen keyboard and small text, but it does have a note about needing an active internet connection.
