Tennis Elbow 4 Gets Virtual Keyboard Support

Do you miss the good ol' days of great Tennis games that had an emphasis on accurate simulation and addicting gameplay? Well, that is the hole Tennis Elbow 4 is trying to fill, and it seems to be succeeding! The game looks fantastic, and while there is still work to be done, it seems the developers are dedicated to making it happen, even if it takes a little bit of time in between updates. And, with the newest update, we now have new support that makes it easier to enter text when using a gamepad!

In the newest update, released earlier today, Tennis Elbow 4 will now automatically call up the virtual keyboard when you need to enter text. This was designed primarily for Big Picture Mode, but the developer mentions it could also be working on the Steam Deck. They are looking out for reports on whether it works or not, so if you have a Steam Deck, make sure to report it to them so they can get it working on Deck!

Outside of that, the update is relatively small. You can now disable crowd animations, which makes it more playable on less powerful PCs (like the Deck). The AI has been given a little more variety in its volleying, and there have been a couple of bug fixes concerning animations and modding.

Tennis Elbow 4 is available in early access on Steam for $29.99. And according to reports, the game plays decently on the Steam Deck, so you shouldn't have much of an issue playing on-the-go!
