It appears Square Enix removed Denuvo Anti-Temper from Star Ocean: The Divine Force two days ago. This was confirmed via SteamDB's update history.

The decision to remove Denuvo Anti-Temper is a bold move as it could show that they are listening to the feedback of their players and their dissatisfaction for Denuvo as a whole. The change could also highlight that developers/publishers are beginning to see the negative impact of Denuvo in games outweighs the benefits of it.
Denuvo is a 3rd-party DRM software that is designed to stop people from tampering with the game by making each copy only able to activate on a specific number of computers. Denuvo has caused controversy since it does have the capacity to cause issues with how the game runs and can slow it down. With it being removed from Star Ocean: The Divine Force, it is possible we could see a slight performance boost on the Steam Deck as well!

unlikely that they're listening to feedback, look at the dates, it was on the game for almost exactly 6 months, they most likely just don't want to keep paying for denuvo after that
That's totally possible too. I am hopeful, but this could very likely be the case as well.
