Did you know that the ball in Pong was a sentient being? Nope, neither did I! But it turns out we were wrong all along, as qomp2 proves. Take control of this sentient ping pong ball as you guide it through 30 levels of peril, all for that end prize of sweet, sweet freedom, away from those pesky paddles that keep knocking you back and forth!

Check out qomp2's launch trailer below:

With simple controls of only 2 buttons, you will have to skilfully navigate these "harder than they look" puzzles. But it's not just the environment you'll need to contend with, enemies and bosses will also stand in the way of your bid for freedom. Do you have what it takes to make it across all 4 worlds and make your escape?

qomp2 is the sequel to 2021's qomp. This time, the game's story has been expanded, and there are new puzzle types, as well as enemies. Instead of just 1 button controls, which rotate the ball's direction by 45 degrees, there is a second button, which will propel the ball with a quick dash forward.

qomp2 is available now on Steam for $19.99. It has partial controller support and hasn't yet received a rating for Steam Deck compatibility. But given the simple nature of the game, the modest system requirements, and the controller support that it has, we imagine the Steam Deck should be able to run it fine.
