Proton 11 Enters Beta With Tons Of Changes And New Playable Games

Less than 3 months after Proton 10's last update, we now have the next version of the stable branch of Proton coming our way. Earlier today, Proton 11 entered its first beta, bringing over a ton of fixes from the Proton Experimental branch. This includes making games like Resident Evil 1 and 2 and DSC World Steam Edition playable, updating the layer's components, and fixing the intro video for Crimson Desert.

There are tons of game fixes in general here for titles like Pentiment, Grounded, Phasmophobia, Killer Inn, HELLDIVERS 2, Death Stranding 2, Hollow Knight, and The King of Fighters XIII Global Match. And both the Rockstar Launcher and EA games have been fixed.

You can download this layer for yourself by searching for Proton 11 on your Steam Deck. Interestingly, there's also an ARM64 version of this beta for the Steam Frame, which just shows how Valve is gearing up for its SteamOS release on ARM.
