Valve Hits Over 14,000 Steam Deck Verified/Playable Titles

The Steam Deck has been my go-to gaming device ever since I received mine, even before I started this website. The ability to play our PC games on the go is amazing, and I love to find games I wouldn't normally be able to run and play in the palm of my hand. Luckily, when the device was released, Valve started the Verified program, which helps us figure out which games can be played and which may have trouble on the Deck. And today, we have officially hit over 14,000 games on Steam that have this badge!

According to SteamDB, which tracks games on Steam (including ones that were taken off the store), we now have 14,004 games that are Steam Deck Verified or Playable at the time of writing! This means, theoretically, there are over 14,000 games on Steam that we can play on the Deck. According to the Steam store, we have about 13,675 games on the store currently, which means there are over 300 that were delisted.

Now, Verified or Playable titles don't mean the game will run well out of the box, even if it claims to. A lot of games do need to be tweaked to run, sometimes require a different proton layer, or may not even work at all. The system is great for serving as an indicator of whether it CAN run, but there are a lot of games marked Verified that have issues, and even more that are "Unsupported" but run exceptionally well.
