Melvor Idle is Epic's 2nd Free Holiday Game to Giveaway

To celebrate the holidays, Epic is giving away a free game to add to your libraries on the Epic Games Store every day. Yesterday, we had DNF Duel being given away, which was a $50 value, and a great way to start the celebrations off. Today, we have a smaller game, but still one that I find myself enjoying from time to time: Melvor Idle.

Melvor Idle is an idle game where you incrementally get more and more experience and grow more powerful. The game features 20+ skills to choose from and master, as well as a combat system, tons of items, and even pets to collect. The game is heavily inspired by Runescape, too, so if you are a fan of the old MMORPG, there will be a lot of similarities.

The game is regularly $9.99 but will be free on the Epic Games Store for the next 24 hours. On Steam, Melvor Idle is rated Playable for the Steam Deck due to needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, but otherwise, it performs quite well. This is backed up by reports on SteamDB, which mention that you may need to use the touchscreen or touchpad to navigate the game.
