Update 1.16 for Insurgency: Sandstorm Adds New Map and Weapons

The next major content update for Insurgency: Sandstorm is here, Update 1.16, entitled “Operation: Crisis.” is available now on Steam. This Operation brings a new map, weapons, as well as cosmetic patches. If you own the Ultimate Edition of Insurgency: Sandstorm, or the Year 3 Pass, then you'll also get new premium cosmetic DLC sets. These sets can also be bought separately.

Take control of the battlefield with 2 new precision rifles, the TAC-338 and the L96A1, a new map inspired by the Gulf War is also being added. The TAC-338 for Security is an American precision rifle firing 70mm ammunition, famous for appearing in the movie American Sniper. On the opposite side of the battlefield, the Insurgents are equipped with the L96A1, a British long-range rifle.

Drop into Insurgency: Sandstorm and discover a brand-new playground with the Trainyard map. There's plenty of cover and clutter, so a keen eye will be your best chance for survival in this environment populated with car wrecks and train remnants.

The Premium DLC added includes 2 new weapon skin sets and 2 new gear sets.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is available on Steam for $29.99, the game is rated as Playable on the Steam Deck due to small in-game text and the onscreen keyboard sometimes needs to be manually invoked.
