It looks like Epic is spicing things up with the next free game they are giving away, and I couldn't be happier about it. Hot Wheels Unleashed is the next free game being given away by Epic for the 2024 holidays, and it is a perfect experience if you are in the mood for some racing.

This arcade racer combines the Hot Wheels brand with some gorgeous locations and fast-paced action, and it can be quite addicting to play. You can also create your own tracks, and I do love being able to create my own content, so that's a huge plus.

The game is rated Steam Deck Unsupported, and although it has a ProtonDB rating of Gold, there seems to have been some issues with the game on Deck last month. However, I did see some more recent reviews mentioning that it is working on the Steam Deck again, and I can confirm that it does work! I was able to boot the game and get into a race as well.
