Frostpunk 2 Gets Steam Deck Playable Badge - 11 Bit Studios Working on Verified

Frostpunk 2 is probably one of my favorite strategy games to play. I am a sucker for post-apocalyptic settings, but the way you have to manage the city you build out is a ton of fun. Unfortunately, on release, the game wasn't playable on the Steam Deck. However, that seems to be changing since the game just got its Playable badge!

11 Bit Studios announced the new rating for Frostpunk 2 via a Steam Community Post, where they mentioned that the story mode is fully stable and playable with solid performance. Based on the game, I would consider this is probably 30 FPS stable, and it was almost there when it was released, so I am not surprised. However, alongside this announcement, they mentioned that they are working on further performance and official controller layout fixes to get that Verified badge!

I can't wait to see what 11 Bit Studios is able to do to make Frostpunk 2 as playable as possible on the Deck. The team also mentioned that they are aware of the UI issues in Utopia Builder and late game saves taking longer to load, but I have faith that they will be working on it to make sure these issues are corrected.

Frostpunk 2 can be purchased on Steam for $39.99 and is rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, showing incorrect controller icons, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, and small in-game text.
