Fanatical Kicks Off Summer Sale With Amazing Flash Deals

While the summer sales may seem like they are ending, it's always great to have the reminder that we are, in fact, not out of it yet! Fanatical has started its own summer sale today, and while there are a ton of games on sale to celebrate (our recommendation list is coming tomorrow), there are temporary flash sales that discount games even more than usual! They tend to focus on bigger releases, and Fanatical is starting off strong with the first batch of three sales!

Fanatical will be hosting three flash sales every day of the summer sale with games that tend to be more expensive and providing an extra discount on them. They are wonderful titles, and while may not all be perfect for the Steam Deck, they are still fantastic deals.

So, here are the three titles you can get for an extra discount for day 1:

Dragon's Dogma 2 - $45.49 (35% Off)

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a single player, narrative driven action-RPG that challenges the players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more - in a truly immersive fantasy world.

This is not a game I would recommend playing on the Steam Deck, but overall, it is an amazing game. It does have some performance issues across the board, but when it works, it is just wonderful.

Fallout 4: GOTY Edition - $13.39 (67% Off)

Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, welcome you to the world of Fallout 4 – their most ambitious game ever, and the next generation of open-world gaming.

The GOTY edition of Fallout 4 has all the DLC included, and is easily the best deal for the open world game! Bethesda games like this are some of my favorites due to how well mods can integrate into the game. It's an addicting experience, and definitely playable on the Steam Deck.

The Thaumaturge - $16.44 (53% Off)

The Thaumaturge is a story-driven RPG with morally ambiguous choices, taking place in the culturally diverse world of early 20th-century Warsaw. In this world, salutors exist: esoteric beings that only thaumaturges can truly perceive and use for their needs.

The Thaumaturge is a great story-driven experience that plays well on the Steam Deck, It definitely has a unique angle to it with Salutors and using them in the turn-based combat, while I liked some of the detective sides to it. I would expect a 30 FPS experience for the best way to play on the go, but it still looks great and I recommend it.

And that's all for today's flash sales! There are going to be more tomorrow, and we will cover them, but these are definitely worth your time in general. I do wish Dragon's Dogma 2 was better optimized so we could play on the go, but even still, a good deal is a good deal!
