505 Games has released a new trailer for Blades of Fire, revealing a new in-depth showcase of combat in the title.

The tutorial videos showcase the precision parries and finishers, along with the game’s signature combat system. We can see the value of selecting the best weapon for the job in the trailer.

Weapons in Blades of Fire are divided into three categories: Slashing, Piercing, and Blunt types. Most of the weapons have the option of swapping between slashing and piercing. You need to check the enemy’s outline for their weak points and cycle through your equipped weapon to ensure you’re using the right weapon.

Using the right weapon, along with targeting the enemy’s weak points, makes it easy to clear the battlefield. You can also use the terrain by taking advantage of the higher ground to strategically eliminate the enemies. You can merge countless alloys, hilts, runes, blades, and pummeling edges to craft and perfect the ultimate evil-slaying weapon. Every enemy type will pose unique challenges, so make sure that your weapon meets those challenges.
